LAREXPO is a vibrant multicultural event dedicated to celebrating and promoting the rich heritage of Latin America. Through Art, Gastronomy, Traditional Crafts, Folkloric Dances, and Live Music, this EXPO showcases the cultural diversity and creativity of each participating country. It is a platform that not only highlights the talent and traditions of Latin American Artisans and Entrepreneurs but also fosters connections and understanding among cultures, offering an unforgettable experience of unity and cultural pride.

LAREXPO es un vibrante evento multicultural dedicado a celebrar y promover la rica herencia de América Latina. A través del Arte, la Gastronomía, las Artesanías Tradicionales, los Bailes Folklóricos y la Música en vivo, esta exposición destaca la diversidad cultural y la creatividad de cada país participante. Es una plataforma que no solo resalta el talento y las tradiciones de los Artesanos y Emprendedores Latinoamericanos, sino que también fomenta conexiones y entendimiento entre culturas, ofreciendo una experiencia inolvidable de unidad y orgullo cultural.
Join us as we celebrate our traditions through folk dances and live music. Artists from Mexico, Central and South America will perform flaunting their indigenous costumes.

LAREXPO's mission is to empower a vibrant community of Latin American artisans and entrepreneurs by creating a space where they can showcase their work when engaging the public, inspiring appreciation of their cultural heritage. Our artisans have pledged to maintain high quality standards in their work while conserving the sustainability of the economy, the society and the environment.
LAREXPO is the main artisan fair in the City of Manassas. Artisans are selected for their enthusiasm to promote the conservation of their countries´ traditional crafts while preserving high levels of workmanship. Entrepreneurs attend this Event to link with the community, providing helpful information, advice and support as a benefit to our Visitors.

GRUPO FOLKLORICO EL TAYRONA
COLOMBIA
EL TAYRONA is a non-profit folkloric dance company based in Falls Church, Virginia, dedicated to preserving and sharing the richness of traditional Colombian culture. Their mission is to promote Colombia’s heritage through vibrant performances that celebrate the country’s diverse regional dance traditions.
Throughout their journey, EL TAYRONA has proudly represented Colombia on national and international stages, participating in festivals, fairs, and cultural celebrations. Each performance offers a dynamic journey through Colombia’s regions, highlighting the music and dances that reflect the fusion of Indigenous, African, and European influences.
Their shows are versatile and adaptable, ranging from 30-minute performances to full two-hour concerts, delivering an experience filled with color, rhythm, and tradition.

ALMA Y FOLKLORE
MEXICO
Founded in 2022 by Oaxacan native Sayra Arelin Figueroa Cruz, Alma y Folklore of Mexico is an artistic group dedicated to preserving and celebrating Mexican traditions through dance. Made up of young girls and women, their mission is to honor Mexico’s cultural heritage with authenticity, respect, and pride.
Each performance is a tribute to indigenous communities and the artisans who keep traditions alive, representing the history and traditional attire of each region with dignity.
In 2025, they received the Cultural Heritage Award at the Latin American Artisans Expo and stood out at the Ms. International Folklore Ambassador pageant, where Mexico earned the title among delegations from ten countries.

GRUPO RAICES ECUATORIANAS
ECUADOR
In September 2022, a group of Ecuadorian women living in the Washington D.C., Virginia, and Maryland (DMV) area founded a dance group called Guarmis Waita, a Quechua term meaning “Flower Women.” One year later, in September 2023, the group evolved into Raíces Ecuatorianas to more fully represent the richness of Ecuador’s culture and traditions.
Through vibrant dances and traditional attire from different regions, the group proudly showcases the diversity and beauty of Ecuadorian heritage, sharing its rhythms, colors, and stories with audiences throughout the community.
The organization is dedicated to promoting cultural heritage, creating educational opportunities, and organizing events that celebrate Ecuadorian traditions while building a stronger, more united community.

ESTAMPAS PERUANAS DE VIRGINIA
Estampas Peruanas of Virginia is a non-profit cultural group dedicated to preserving and sharing traditional Peruvian dances in the United States. It was founded in 2010 by Aide Salvatierra, Celia Reyna, and Sonia Edith Girón with the purpose of teaching their children the dances of their heritage and strengthening their cultural identity from an early age.
Made up of children and youth of Peruvian descent, the group has grown into a true artistic family that honors the richness of Peruvian folklore through performances and community activities.
Their repertoire includes dances from the coast, highlands, and jungle regions of Peru, such as marinera, huaylas, tondero, and saya, bringing audiences a message of identity, pride, and tradition.

SUMAJ TUSUY DMV
Sumaj Tusuy DMV is a Peruvian dance group originally founded in Miami over 20 years ago. With deep roots in traditional dance, the group has performed across the U.S. and internationally, sharing the richness of Peruvian culture through movement and storytelling.
In 2024, Sumaj Tusuy DMV was established in the Washington D.C. metro area to continue this mission—offering dance classes, performances, and workshops that celebrate heritage, build community, and honor the power of cultural expression.

LAS BOLIVIANITAS DEL DMV
LAS EMBAJADORAS CULTURALES DE LATINO AMERICA
Las Bolivianitas del DMV representan el arte de vestir la patria con orgullo. Más que un podcast o un proyecto mediático, son un movimiento cultural que celebra la identidad boliviana desde el extranjero. La iniciativa es dirigida por Chris Barrientos de BarrTech Media y tiene como protagonistas a tres dinámicas embajadoras culturales: Isabel Siles, conocida como la “K’acha Cholita”, con raíces en los valles; Jennifer Ortiz, la cholita fashion con raíces paceñas; y Denice Céspedes, la orgullosa cambita de Santa Cruz y La Guardia.
Ellas no se visten como bolivianas: se visten desde Bolivia, luciendo sus trajes tradicionales incluso en eventos que no son folclóricos. Su misión es clara: celebrar y representar a Bolivia desde la distancia, uniendo sus plataformas para mostrar la riqueza de su país desde los Estados Unidos hacia el mundo.
Jennifer es una apasionada Embajadora Cultural y Directora de Marketing de Expomundo. Su trabajo promueve la riqueza boliviana a nivel internacional y fomenta la reconexión con la identidad cultural a través de eventos y seminarios educativos. Su labor se guía por el ayni, el sagrado concepto aymara de reciprocidad. Jennifer encarna esta misión ante el ojo público, luciendo con confianza polleras tradicionales y honrando el legado de sus ancestros como una orgullosa mujer aymara, representando la región del altiplano boliviano.
Comunicadora social de La Guardia, Santa Cruz, Denice trae su brújula cultural al área del DMV. Es corresponsal de Sandra Coscio y periodista del galardonado programa Zoom Latino. A través de sus plataformas, actúa como puente y altavoz de las historias y luchas de la comunidad. A pesar de la distancia, apoya activamente a los bomberos voluntarios y al arte en su tierra natal. Bajo su manifiesto, “Hagamos de nuestra cultura tendencia”, cubre eventos vistiendo el tradicional tipoy de la región oriental de Bolivia.

l es una influyente figura cultural cochabambina con más de 100 mil seguidores. Se dedica a cubrir eventos en todo el DMV, destacándose siempre por portar con elegancia la pollera tradicional de la región de los valles bolivianos.

CULTURAL AMBASSADORS OF LATIN AMERICAN
Las Bolivianitas of the DMV represent the art of wearing one’s homeland with pride. More than a podcast or media project, they are a cultural movement that celebrates Bolivia’s identity from abroad. The initiative is directed by Chris Barrientos of BarrTech Media and features three dynamic cultural ambassadors: Isabel Siles, known as the “K’acha Cholita” with roots in the valleys; Jennifer Ortiz, the fashion-forward cholita with roots in La Paz; and Denice Céspedes, a proud cambita from Santa Cruz and La Guardia.
They do not simply dress as Bolivian women—they dress from Bolivia, wearing their traditional attire even at non-folkloric events. Their mission is clear: to celebrate and represent Bolivia from afar, uniting their platforms to share the beauty of their homeland from the United States with the world.
Jennifer is a passionate Cultural Ambassador and Marketing Director of Expomundo. Her work promotes Bolivian heritage on a global scale while encouraging reconnection with cultural identity through educational events and seminars. Her mission is guided by ayni, the sacred Aymara concept of reciprocity. Jennifer proudly embodies this vision in public spaces, confidently wearing traditional polleras and honoring the legacy of her ancestors as a proud Aymara woman, representing the Altiplano region of Bolivia.
A social communicator from La Guardia, Santa Cruz, Denice brings her cultural compass to the DMV area. She is a correspondent for Sandra Coscio and a journalist for the award-winning program Zoom Latino. Through her platforms, she serves as a bridge and voice for community stories and struggles. Despite the distance, she actively supports volunteer firefighters and the arts in her hometown. Guided by her motto, “Let’s make our culture a trend,” she covers events wearing the traditional tipoy from Bolivia’s eastern region.
Better known as the “K’acha Cholita,” Isabel is an influential cultural figure from Cochabamba with more than 100,000 followers. She is dedicated to covering events throughout the DMV area, always standing out for wearing the traditional pollera of the Bolivian valleys with elegance and pride.
